Cap’s on the Water was formerly known as Prepaul’s Fish Camp. After it changed hands in the late 1970s, the restaurant was renamed Cap’s Seafood. Today, the restaurant is owned by Bernard and Vivian de Raad, a Dutch couple originally from Florida. They met while visiting St. Augustine in 1984 and were both taken by the natural beauty of Northeast Florida.
